When people think of ‘fitness’, most think of running, cycling and essentially losing weight. However, emotional fitness is just as important as physical, and keeping mentally healthy is a pursuit we should all be trying to achieve. When we live an emotionally unbalanced life, it can overflow into all areas of our health and well-being; causing stress, anger, anxiety and lethargy. These harmful feelings can be addressed with emotional exercise; just as we work out in the gym to improve our cardiovascular fitness, we can work on our mental strength with a routine of healthy living.
